The Bagley School District is asking that all students complete a daily health screening for in person learning. -download the rschool app (blue baseball cap) -open the app, click on setup, select Minnesota -under the school list, go to Pine to Prairie Conference and select Bagley -click on the menu bar in the upper left hand corner and then click on the Daily Health Screening button -the first time you will want to fill out the form. The system will ask you to sign in with your name and email address. When you click verify, the system sends a confirmation email -once you verify your email address, you can begin screening. Simply toggle on the button for any yes responses. -you can select profile to select a different student in your family -students will have the app on their chromebooks and/or iPads. If they are not screened at home, students will be asked to screen themselves once they arrive at school.

Logan and Grant Hemberger finishes 44th and 45th respectively, Palmer Olson crosses the finish line in 68th position, Liam Hagen was 77th, Gavin Halverson was 104th and Jake Wickham was 114th. With guidance coming out today, two spectators for each participant will be permitted at indoor events. The volleyball games at Warroad will currently not allow spectators for tonight because of the short notice. Bagley high school will welcome spectators for indoor events beginning on Monday, October 12th with JH volleyball. For JH events, parents will be asked to call the high school office before 2pm on the day of the event to be put in the admissions list for that event. For C/JV/V events, admissions is charged so parents will need to pay for their admission at the High School Office prior to 2pm on the day of the event. Parents can begin contacting the office on Friday, 10/9 at 10am. We are very excited to have fans back to watch our student-athletes but it all of our responsibilities to keep everyone safe. Masks and social distancing will be required for attendance at all indoor events.

BHS Conference Reminder Bagley High School will hold Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 6th. Teachers will be located in different areas of the building to allow for safe social distancing. Flyers football will travel to Frazee on Friday, October 9th - 7pm kickoff. Fans wishing to attend will need to purchase tickets at the BHS main office beginning at 10am. Bagley High School Volleyball and Football workouts to begin on Monday, September 14th Football practice will be 3:30-5pm Monday-Thursday , 9/14-10/1 - grades 7-12. Volleyball practice will be on a rotational schedule beginning on 9/14 with Sr High from 3:30-5:15pm and Jr high from 5:30-7pm. The complete schedule is pictured below. Paperwork will be handed out at practice, fees are not required for the fall practices, student-athletes must have a current physical on file. Any physical that expired after March, 2020 will be consider current for the 20-21 school year. Transportation for BES Busing : We are still working hard to get things set up for the school year. Part of our COVID Back to School Plan is students may only have one address for pick up and one address for drop off. There will not be bus passes. If you need to change your pick up or drop off please call transportation 218-694-6122 as soon as possible. Parent Drop off: Students may be dropped off starting at 8:00. Classes start at 8:24. Students must be dropped off at the South Cafeteria Door. Students will not be able to enter through other doors including the office door. Parents/Guardians will not be able to walk students to class due to COVID requirements. Parent Pick-up: Parent picked up will be located in the East parking lot starting at 2:40. Parents picking up students will stay in their vehicle and follow the cone drive in the parking lot. School Staff will radio in the building to let the students know when to come out and meet you. If you are planning on picking up your student instead of riding the bus, please notify the office by 2:00.

The Tuesday Flyer Message Happy Tuesday Bagley Flyers! Last night the Bagley School Board hosted a live Zoom session, that had over 100 guests. We reviewed our plans for the upcoming school year. The Bagley School Board had a focused discussion and brought up important concerns and advocated what they thought was best for our students. Three motions were put forward and resulted in a tie vote. Because of the three failed attempts to pass the motion, the action item was tabled to a later date. The special board meeting has been set for Saturday, August 22 at 8am. The Tuesday Flyer Message We have been busy with our Back to School Planning. Our District Advisory Committee and Safety Committee met this week and helped with the planning. We are preparing for both in-person and distance learning scenarios. The school board will vote on Aug. 17, which scenario we will start the school year. This meeting is open to the public via Zoom. We have been noticing some social media posts regarding school employees administering Covid-19 tests. We will NOT be administering Covid-19 tests. Please refer to our website for accurate information regarding our schools. High School schedules will be coming out soon. Please be patient with us. We will have schedule change days at the start of the school year. Elementary students will find out their teachers one week prior to school starting. The MSHSL has announced that Student-athletes who have a Sports Qualifying Physical that expired anytime after March 23, 2020 and/or during the 2020-21 school year, they will not need to get a physical. As of 7/31/20, Bagley Football practice is scheduled to begin on 8/10 for Varsity and JV. JH Football, Volleyball, Cross Country Running and Swimming practices are scheduled to begin on 8/17/20. There will be updated information after the MSHSL Board of directors meeting on August 4, 2020. The Bagley Flyers football program will be hosting their annual football camp August 3rd - 5th at the Bagley Athletic Complex football field from 3-5pm. There is no cost for the camp. The camp will be run under the guidelines of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnesota Department of Health Safe Play. The MSHSL spring athletics and fine arts activities have been cancelled for the remainder of their seasons. With this cancellation, all athletics are out of season. The MSHSL and Bagley School District strongly encourages all students-athletes, coaches and advisors to adhere to all aspects of the Stay-At-Home order and participate fully in all recommended safety practices including social distancing, hand washing, covering their coughs and sneezes, and limiting unnecessary contact with others.

The Elementary School will be celebrating Read Across America Week, March 2 - 6, with dress up days and bringing in a Scholastic BOGO Book Fair. Dress up days are as follows; Mighty Jungle Monday (wear Green or Brown), Team Tuesday (wear favorite team attire), Wacky Wednesday (wear wacky socks, wacky hair, etc.), Flannel Thursday, Pajama Friday. Book Fair will be open Tuesday through Friday. Also, bring your family out on Thursday evening to our Family Night from 5 to 7pm with meal being served from 5 to 6:30.

Congratulations to the Bagley Dance team on an outstanding season. The team competed at the Section 4A competition at Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday. Both the Kick and Jazz teams performed outstanding routines. The kick team finished 4th, just missing a return trip to state. Congratulations to the coaches and dancers on a great season!

Congratulations to the Bagley Dance team on their performances at the HOL Conference Championships held in Bagley last night. The team finished 2nd in Kick, 3rd in Jazz and 3rd overall. Cori Bonik, Tessa Tramm and Aleah Nelson earned All-Conference recognition and Hallie Lindgren and Demi Keough we’re named to the Honorable Mention team. The Bagley Dance team will participate in the Section 4A meet next Saturday at Wadena-Deer Creek
Congratulations to the Bagley High School One Act Play cast and crew of Badger on their Sub-Section 29A. Championship. Next up is the Section 8A competition at Crookston on Saturday, February 1st.
With the support of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Minnesota State High School League, MNSHSCA and MIAAA are launching a campaign of gratitude to thank statewide coaches and advisors for their service in extra-curricular activities. Thank a Coach/Advisor Week will take place from January 27 thru February 2. The campaign is designed to promote, recognize and support the thousands of coaches and advisors across Minnesota that are making an integral, positive and lifelong impact on youth in the classroom and athletic setting.
