ACHIEVEMENT & INTEGRATION

A & I PROGRAM

Progress updates are reporting on the goals for the 20/21 School Year.

Goal #1: Reduce the reading achievement gap for American Indian student groups in Reading.

Strategy 1:01: Reduce the disparities for American Indian students.

The students will be identified to be targeted for individual meetings to ensure they are passing all of their classes and understanding what is being taught to test proficiently in each of their classes. The students will be monitored and tracked starting with the sixth grade through their senior year.

ProgressUnable to report due to only Fall MCA testing being completed for SY20/21 due to Covid-19. Spring MCA's were not completed so we were unable to show growth or compare to the previous years data as testing was not completed in Spring 19/20.

Goal #2: Increase all students' equitable access to College/Career readiness activities.

Strategy 2:01: Ensure that all students have equitable access to College and Career readiness opportunities as well as access to on campus visits, activities to encourage ongoing education, ACT testing and Self-reported comfort levels outside of current culture/race, socioeconomic status increasing from the implementation of this program.

Students will be from varying backgrounds based off of school settings and will work together by sharing future plans and understanding community/cultural backgrounds. This will provide opportunity for students to engage with students that they normally wouldn't have access to or have a meaningful social engagement with.

Progress: Unable to report due to most visits/trips being postponed then cancelled 20/21 SY due to Covid-19 and campus visits not allowed.

Strategy 2:02: Ensure that all student have equitable access to College and Career readiness opportunities by providing activities to encourage ongoing education to students of diverse race, socioeconomic status by increasing participation from the implementation of this program.

These activities may consist of college visits, workplace visits, pre-college programming, and other activities that may be identified later. Students will be selected based on interest, staff identification, parental request, and/or student targeting. Students will be encouraged to take the ACT, ASVAB and any other potential college career tests to be prepared for any possible career/college outcome.

Progress:  Unable to report due to ACT testing not taking place being were were distance learning for the first half of SY 20/21 due to Covid-19.

Goal #3: Diverse Teachers- Increase student exposure to teachers from their cultural background by doing targeted recruitment for diverse applicants.

Strategy 3:01: Recruit and retain diverse teachers for equitable access to teachers from a variety of backgrounds that would increase diverse, licensed teachers/staff.

This would be a Bagley Teacher Diversity Incentive Scholarship. We would look at offering a scholarship with a form signed stating that each year they received financial assistance via this scholarship they would spend one year at Bagley school in a role that would offer diverse, licensed teachers that would eventually become experienced educators to our students.

Progress: Unable to report - We have had zero applicants for the Diverse Teacher Incentive Scholarship* for the SY 20/21..
