Executive Summary

The Theory of Action explains how MDE will partner with grantees, and their stakeholders, to implement an evidence based practice that will improve graduation rates for American Indian/Alaska Native students with disabilities. Prior to selecting an evidence based practice grantee must establish a District Implementation Team (DIT) that includes a special Education Director, Project Coordinator, other involved school staff, and stakeholders. Once established, a DIT uses data and resources provided by MDE to: determine root cause(s); identify an evidence-based practice; set goals; and establish an evaluation process. Implementation of evidence-based practices grantees will combine to improve the state wide 6-year graduation for American Indian/Alaska Native students with disabilities. Use the Theory of Action as a general reference and guide to hep develop responses.

Adulting, "Get Ready, Get Out

Students have decided that the class should be called Adulting.

The theme they would like to use is Get ready, Get Out as they see themselves preparing for graduation and adulthood and moving towards post graduation readiness.
