Good Things Happening at Bagley Schools:
I object! Bagley has begun its very first Mock Trial team. The Mock team competes against other teams throughout the state putting on trials. The teams from each side provide a three person lawyer team, their witnesses, a timekeeper and a bailiff. The first two trials were in person in a courtroom. Rounds three and four were contested on Zoom.
So far this year the team has lost close matches against Bemidji and New York Mills. Bagley’s team has defeated Chisolm and plays Ashby on Wednesday February 7th. Depending on how Bagley does they may advance to the section finals. The fifth round trials will be at the courthouse in Aitkin or Stearns county.
Members of the mock trial team are: Senior: Kensey LaCroix Juniors: Drew Nelson, Adrianna Marsh, Ava Rolfson, Ayden Rolfson, Ayden Hagen, Beau Woods, Colin Agnes, Elinor Davies, Nataly Stout, Nora Stout, Sadie Larson and Thea Anderson Sophomore: William Gunderson Coaches: Kathryn Lorsbach, Chuck Anderson.
Join us this Friday for our annual Valentines Day Dance Party! We have a night full of fun planned including games like scooter boards, limbo, conga line, and more. Dress in reds, pinks, or any other Valentines color and join in on the kids' dance along on the jumbo screen.
Admission is only $1 and we will also have food, candy and glow bracelets available for purchase.

Congratulations to the BHS One Act Play cast & crew who are the Section 8A Champions! Their show, a cutting and adaptation of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," will now represent our school, community, and section at the STATE ONE ACT PLAY FESTIVAL this week in St. Paul.
Update:
Law enforcement had determined the threat against the high school to be unfounded early Thursday morning. Through subsequent interviews, it became evident that the perceived threat originated from exaggerated rumors and was reported by an individual who did not hear it firsthand.
The BHS Drama Students proudly present a public performance this Thursday before heading off to the One-Act Competition on Friday! They'd love to see a packed house!

CLEARWATER CHRISTMAS PROJECT DONATION
Co-Chair of the Clearwater Christmas Project, Destiny Halvorson, is pleased to accept the BHS Student Council donation. The BHS Student Council chose the CCP as their service project during the month of December. Student Council Representatives visited classrooms each day and collected money/toys for CCP. Congratulations to Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Reynolds ~ each of their classes raised over $10 per student. They will be sharing a pizza party in celebration. In total, $777.54 was raised, as well as 20 toys collected! Amazing and well done students of Bagley High!
The Clearwater Christmas Project distributed over 600 toys to community members the first week of December. 225 grocery vouchers were also distributed. Finally, CCP gave a monetary donation to both the Clearbrook and the Bagley Senior Centers to help with the cost of the holiday meals. Thanks to the generosity of the community and organizations within the community, the CCP was able to assist those among us who are in need.
The Bagley High School Christmas Concert (performed Dec. 18th ) will be aired on Garden Valley channel 33. It will air at 10am and 6pm Friday-Monday (Christmas Day).
It can also be heard on Coyote 102.5 on Christmas Day around 11:30.

Chi-Miigwech to the families and students who participated in our ribbon skirt-making class. It was a huge success with everyone completing a skirt! We will be offering this again later in the school year so if you are interested, stay tuned!
