Last Friday, Bagley American Indian Education staff took students on a campus visit to University of Minnesota Morris! The group toured campus and particularly enjoyed visiting the Science Building and the Cougar Sports Center. They also have an impressive amount of student support services including the Native American Student Success (NASS) Program. We're definitely planning a return trip next year!

Elementary yearbooks (not high school) were sent home today if your child ordered one. Look for them in their backpacks! We have around 75 extras which we will sell Thursday and Friday morning by the office for $16 each until supplies run out. They turned out fantastic!

Congratulations to all the students who participated last weekend at State History Day. You worked hard and you’re fabulous! We had our best showing at state ever! 5 projects advanced to the finals round and the following students received awards: Wynono Sargent-honorable mention for his exhibit on Boarding Schools. Abigail Martine, Breelee Neeland and Montayna Leavitt- honorable mention in group exhibit for The Trail of Broken Treaties. Abigail Hagen-honorable mention for her exhibit on The Father of Germ Theory. Trinity Parisian and Raylynn Miller for their group exhibit on the Cherokee Removal. And Kensey LaCroix-Olson placed 4th in individual performance for her project on Muhammad Ali. Please congratulate them all on 7 months of hard wor!. If you are interested in joining history day next year, start thinking of topics that fit the 2024 theme “Turning Points in History”. It’s open to any student grade 6-12.
